Where you are standing today was once nothing more than a stretch of green grass 20 years ago. Through dedication, passion, and a deep love for this land, Chevandeaux Guesthouse has grown into a beautiful, family-run retreat in the heart of Franschhoek.

Set beside the renowned Leopards Leap Wine Farm and just moments away from La Motte and Hey Joe Brewing Company, our guesthouse offers the perfect base for exploring the Cape Winelands. Whether you’re here for wine tasting, relaxation, or a romantic escape, our location places you right at the center of it all.

At Chevandeaux, family is at the heart of everything we do. The original labourers’ cottage, nestled at the northern end of the pond, now serves as home to the owners, while nearby, our grandmother resides across from the apartments—adding a warm, personal touch to your stay. With a range of inviting and comfortable accommodation options, our guests become part of our extended family.

Our working vineyard produces Viognier grapes—the same varietal grown by the neighboring Leopards Leap Wine Estate. While we don’t bottle wine commercially, our grapes are hand-selected by boutique winemakers to create unique, small-batch blends. We are proud to have supplied grapes to Le Petit Ferme Wine Estate, contributing to their elegant Viognier wines.

Beyond our vineyards, the property is a haven of natural beauty. Guests are welcomed by vibrant gardens and an array of flowers, highlighted by our iconic King Proteas at the entrance—an unforgettable first impression of your Franschhoek stay.
